Major brands and retail locations are part of our network, please refer to your fuel-finder app to find one near you.

Lastly, a typical gas card will operate on a traditional bank/credit card type of platform; energie·fuel cards are not bank/credit cards. Our fuel cards offer superior security, control, reporting, and unique service benefits combined with less fees, not available with a typical gas card.

Yes, you have Real Time Card Controls for usage, slippage and driver access and you can fully manage your transaction detail online. You can control: Activation, Deactivation of cards and PIN numbers, modification of PIN numbers. You can also increase or decrease gallons, reset the transaction count on a card and set up email or text alerts.

YES! When an error or unauthorized transaction is made, you will receive an instant notification so you can check-in with your driver. For example: With the Odometer Tolerance Feature, the system will generate a real time alert if the Odometer is out of sequence and disproportionate to the tank tolerance programmed to the vehicle.

Yes. Your drivers carrying a fuel card can always be supported and, in Real-Time. Assuming that your driver has used his/her set number of authorized transactions, you can easily reset the fuel card for extra needed fueling transactions. Plus, with the Fuel Finder App, you can reroute to a nearby fueling station and continue safely on the road to the destination.

No, your energie·fuel cards are designed for active fleets. Our goal is to keep your fleet on the road, save fuel and money. At any time, you can float and re-assign a driver to follow a different vehicle(s).

No, energie·fuel cards have ZERO Card fees. Card fees add up each month and increase the overall cost of fuel in billing statements. During your decision-making process, it’s important to compare fees charged by other fuel cards and those charged by other gas or credit cards. When compared to energie·fuel cards, you’ll see savings at the pump and in your statements. Overall, our cards give you the most savings and options available.

Replacement cards are printed and sent out immediately to members. Within the contiguous US, you should have replacement cards within 3 Business Days.

Cardlock facilities are designed for easier fueling access and faster fueling times. Most are exclusive to members and for your convenience, many of them are equipped with high flow dispensing pumps for faster fueling times and no c-store distractions. Many will accommodate larger vehicles, including 18-wheel trucks. They are more secure and available 365/24/7 for your safety and convenience.

You don’t. All transactions are recorded online. You can also receive Real Time text and email notifications with all of your fuel transaction data using our e-receipt and our exception reporting features.

No. Only diesel engines equipped with Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) systems require Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF). Most on-road diesel vehicles built after 2010 use SCR to meet emissions regulations. Older diesel engines and some off-road or specialty equipment may not require DEF.

Yes. DEF can degrade, especially when exposed to high temperatures or direct sunlight. Heat accelerates the breakdown of urea, reducing effectiveness. Proper storage like our Micro-Matic Closed Containers significantly extends its usable life.

Energie Fuel Group provides bulk DEF to your location, secured yard, or job site, for fleets throughout Southern California. We can help sprinters, vans, SUVs, box trucks, refrigerated trucks (reefers), 18-wheelers, and any other vehicle with a diesel engine.

We offer various sizes for the available storage capacity at your location(s). We have DEF in 2.5-gallon jugs in half pallets or full pallets, 55-gallon drums, 275-gallon totes, and 330-gallon totes.

We recommend storing DEF in our Micro-Matic Closed Containers in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight. Ideal storage temperatures are between 12°F and 86°F (-11°C to 30°C).

DEF typically has a shelf life of up to two years when stored at recommended temperatures. Higher temperatures shorten shelf life. Always check the manufacturer’s date and avoid expired products.

Most diesel vehicles use DEF at a rate of 2–4% of diesel fuel consumption. That equals roughly 1 gallon of DEF for every 50-200 gallons of diesel burned. Usage varies based on engine size and duty cycle.

Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) is an emissions control technology that injects DEF into the exhaust stream. It converts harmful nitrogen oxides (NOx) into harmless nitrogen and water vapor, helping diesel engines meet emissions standards.

NOx (nitrogen oxides) are harmful gases formed during high-temperature combustion in engines. They contribute to smog, acid rain, and respiratory problems. SCR systems use DEF to convert NOx into nitrogen and water vapor.

Urea is a nitrogen-based compound made from ammonia and carbon dioxide. In DEF, high-purity urea (32.5%) is mixed with deionized water. It reacts in the SCR system to reduce NOx emissions.

DEF is poured or pumped into a dedicated DEF tank, separate from the diesel fuel tank. Most vehicles have a clearly labeled blue cap indicating the DEF fill point.

Quality DEF meets ISO 22241 standards for purity and concentration. Look for proper labeling, sealed packaging, and a manufacture date. All the DEF we offer meets ISO 22241 standards.

There is only one standardized DEF formulation: 32.5% high-purity urea and 67.5% deionized water. It must meet ISO 22241 specifications. While brands differ, the chemical composition is the same.

You’ll need approximately 2–4% of your diesel fuel usage in DEF. For example, if you burn 1,000 gallons of diesel per month, expect to use 20–40 gallons of DEF.

While DEF is non-toxic and generally safe to handle, it can cause mild skin or eye irritation.
