FUEL NEWS
Crude oil prices barely moved this week, with WTI holding around $62.60 a barrel, up just a touch from last week.
Across the country, gas prices were steady to slightly lower, averaging about $3.19 a gallon, which is basically the same as last year.
Lower demand after summer and the seasonal shift to cheaper winter-blend fuel are helping keep things calm at the pump.
Looks like Washington and our neighbor Oregon has had a rough week… with Washington gas prices jumping about 20¢, now even higher than California. Oregon saw a similar bump, up 16¢.
The spike came from a 10-day shutdown of the Olympic Pipeline, which cut supply across the region. Although the line is back in service, prices may stay elevated until distribution balances out.
