During last week and today Retail pump prices have been relatively stable.
But behind the scenes wholesale fuel prices took a nice dip.
In fact, over the past week wholesale gasoline costs plunged about 20 cents per gallon, and wholesale diesel fell roughly 10 cents average. We truly enjoy when this happens because it’s immediate relief for you guys.

>>Diesel is around $4.85/gal (↓$0.04 from last week, ↓$0.24 from last year).
California (Statewide):
>>Regular unleaded averages $4.85/gal (↓$0.05 from last week, ↓$0.27 from a year ago).
>>Diesel averages $5.09/gal (essentially unchanged from last week, ↓$0.14 from last year).
U.S. National:
>>Regular unleaded is about $3.17/gal (virtually flat, just a hair lower than last week, and ↓$0.42 from last year’s level).
>>Diesel sits around $3.52/gal (↓$0.02 from last week, ↓$0.34 from last year).
MEMORIAL DAY FUEL PRICE PHENOMENA:
These national averages are the lowest for a Memorial Day period since 2021, this is a great relief compared to recent years.
